Ms. Knuffman is the primary liaison from the Office of Interdisciplinary Studies to centers and institutes at Duke. Ms. Knuffman currently leads Duke’s Interdisciplinary Administrators Working Group (IAWG), and helps to manage the Provost’s Common Fund competition and the processes for creating and managing interdisciplinary units.

Ms. Knuffman joined the Provost’s Office after working with two Duke interdisciplinary units—the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions and the Center on Global Change—on a joint climate change policy research project between the two units and with the Nicholas School of the Environment. Prior to joining Duke, Ms. Knuffman coordinated the evening and weekend MBA programs at the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, and worked on international climate change policy at the non-profit Environmental Defense Fund.
