THE ARTS
- Advises and represents the Provost with respect to the arts units in the Provost area including Duke Performances, Center for Documentary Studies, and the Nasher Museum.
- Oversees Duke Performances.
- Serves as university-wide arts representative to internal constituencies including Development, Office of Communications, Admissions, Facilities, Student Affairs, APC, UPC, and Board of Trustees.
- Serves as the liaison to community based arts organizations including American Dance Festival and Full Frame Documentary Film Festival.
- Represents the Arts in regularly scheduled academic space planning group meetings chaired by the Executive Vice Provost.
- Coordinates program planning and programming for new arts facilities on Central Campus.
- For arts facilities on East and West Campus, articulates program needs and collaborates with the Executive Vice Provost's staff in ensuring their realization.
- Oversees and develops strategies for the maintenance, improvement, and staffing of all performing arts facilities to support the needs of the arts community.
- Oversees the management of shared arts facilities campus-wide, and serves as chair of the Performing Arts Executive Council.
- Manages allocation of strategic arts funds.
