Join Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, Democrat of New Mexico, and Governor Mark Gordon, Republican of Wyoming, for a public conversation at Duke University focused on reviving America’s democracy through healthy conflict and constructive dialogue. Journalist and Duke alumna Judy Woodruff will serve as moderator, and Governor Josh Stein of North Carolina will deliver a message on video.

Sponsored by Disagree Better and the Provost's Initiative on Pluralism, Free Inquiry, and Belonging, the forum brings leaders from opposing political parties and the campus community together for a live demonstration of civil discourse across differences. Disagree Better is a nonpartisan nonprofit founded by Utah Governor Spencer Cox that works to transform American political culture by elevating healthy conflict as a civic skill – one that strengthens democracy, rebuilds trust, and reduces polarization.

Tickets are free and event is open to the public.
