Elaine Fulton

Executive Director of Finance & Administration

As Executive Director of Finance & Administration in the Provost Office since 2017, Elaine provides strategic administrative leadership for the
University Institutes and Centers (UIC’s) and select Provostial academic support units. She works closely with the School of Medicine fiscal office and
School Fiscal Officers, as well as UIC Directors, Associate Directors and Business Managers. Elaine leads a team of financial and human resource
professionals who provide specialized support to a variety of Provostial programs.

Elaine has also held positions in the Trinity College of Arts & Sciences and the Pratt School of Engineering. Prior to joining Duke, she worked at the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Engineering. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business
Administration from Champlain College.
